MASK

Transformation Mask,
Raven and Sun

STATUS : Available

This Transformation Mask brings together Raven, the Sun, and the crests of the Whale, Wolf, and Bear. It follows the Northwest Coast tradition of transformation, where one form reveals another, representing the connection between the physical and spiritual worlds and the teachings carried from one generation to the next.
Each crest reflects the relationships between families, clans, and the natural world. Together they speak about identity, responsibility, and respect for the stories that continue to shape Gitxsan culture. More than a ceremonial object, the mask is a reminder that every generation has a responsibility to understand these teachings and carry them forward.
